Bridal Makeup: The Pros And Cons Of Make-Up On Your Own On The Wedding Day
In today’s article I would like to examine with you the pros and cons of the two options, and also, I will give you some useful advice whether you choose to make up your own wedding, or whether you decide to contact a beautician of your confidence.
So let’s start from the pros and cons of “do it yourself”! As many of you have already written in the comments, make-up alone on the wedding day has many advantages, first of all that no one knows your face like you!
In this regard I think of Diane Kruger and her speech that we mentioned in the post on the stars who make up themselves : according to her, since it is our face, it is right that we decide what should be exalted and minimized !
In addition, another advantage is not to use the amount that we would spend for the make-up artist in products that will remain ours and we will continue to use: if we choose that foundation or that eyeshadow for the most beautiful day, let alone how happy we will be to use them also on other occasions!
The alternative (not buying anything and saving money) is, in some ways, equally beneficial: I’m talking about using products that you have already tested for a long time and that have never betrayed you!
But now we come to the cons and the first is easily predictable: the anxiety and agitation of that day could make it difficult to achieve precision steps like the line of eye-liner or lip contour! Moreover, there is the real possibility that you will not be able to work in peace but you will be interrupted during the hectic preparations of the day; and finally, staying in your comfort-zone (a perfect theory for the wedding day) will probably prevent you from daring that WOW detail that could make the difference!
But let’s come to the opposite scenario: if you have decided to rely on a make-up artist, what kind of pros and cons should you expect? Well, the first thing is a professional who probably will not miss the line of eye-liner, and also you can do some tests and then show you to friends and relatives relying on an objective judgment. Finally, among the benefits there is the tranquility of not having to think at least the makeup on your wedding day !
But also the reliance on a make-up artist has some contraindications: first the expense, in a moment of your life in which probably the exits are already quite a lot; moreover, you do not know what products you use and maybe they are tricks that just do not do for you and your skin.
And here we are at the moment of the recommendations: in one sense and another!
Let’s say you have decided to rely on a make-up artist and that the reading of this post has made you come thousand thousand doubts.
I often hear girls who do the first test, PAY and then do not come back because they are not satisfied … But maybe the failure was only due to lack of communication. In my opinion, for the research of your wedding makeup you have to invest time exactly as you do for the dress!
I advise you to do research even among the red carpet!
The important thing is to arrive at the first test with very clear ideas about what you want and your goal will be to know: 1) if that make-up artist is able to meet your needs 2) what products you use.
If you have chosen to do your own makeup, and as the wedding day approaches you are increasingly terrified … Now take a deep breath and read the tips that will keep you safe!
First of all, the same rule is worth the search for the trick you like most; and since you will be the one to realize it, I recommend that you train your manual skills for a long time. It is a big advantage for you to be able to make up that way when you want and then test the products for a long time and in different situations, eventually changing them if you see that they are not suitable.
All this will ensure that you do not have any unexpected day of the nozz and but, for safety, calculate the times well ! Between preparations and the other you have to cut out the time you need to make up with calm and without interruption, or it’s a moment to panic
